So, three weeks down, only two more to go. I think we're going to survive summer school! We haven't done too much this weekend. We took the kids to a pool on Sat. with another family who are going to the same area of the world we are. They have four kids as well, around the same ages as ours. The kids had a lot of fun swimming...the big kids got to dive off a diving board for the first time.

Summer School Update #4
We got a nice break this weekend...we're off from Sat.-Tues. Yeah! A four-day weekend! It's been very relaxing, not having to sit in classes all day. And it's been nice to actually have our kids back (at least for a while :)

Kids' Graduation
They have officially graduated! Tonight was the graduation for the kids program. It was a very nice graduation, and the kids did a great job on stage. There were some really funny moments and some emotional moments (for the parents!). They received picture scrapbooks and trophies, and they also got to take home their figurines that they painted in their pottery class. We took some pictures of the actual ceremony but they came out real dark, so I only have pictures of what the kids received.

Happy 4th of July!
We have had an interesting July 4th. First, we had a BBQ lunch that was sponsored by a team here. It was very good--ribs, pork, grilled corn on the cob, and all kinds of good things. We really enjoyed it.
So, after Caleb took his nap we decided to go to an "I Love America" fair. When we got there, there were old-fashioned airplanes flying overhead. Very cool! There were all kinds of games: moonwalks, rockclimbing and such, and people parachuting overhead with ribbons and flags. But it ended up being soo hot, that we didn't stay very long. We were just going to go back in the evening and watch the fireworks show. (Which Keith and the big kids are at now, and he just called to tell me it's the best show he's ever seen. The kids are having a blast!). So here are the pictures from the fair:

Well, after we left the fair we decided to go walk the mall and eat at the food court. After we parked, I went in the back to get the stroller and it wasn't there. We had left it at the fairgrounds! I had put it on the ground and told Keith to put it in the van, and he didn't hear me and next thing you know... So, we had to go ALL the way back (a pretty good ways) and sure enough it was right where I had left it. So, we pick up the stroller and go ALL the way back to the mall and eat...Couldn't look around because the mall closed at 6pm. We must have gotten there around 5:30pm. Oh, well. We go back to the dorms and give the kids a shower and wait for the time to pass to go back to the fairgrounds at 9:30pm. Well, while we wait, Josiah smashes his finger in the door and hurts it pretty bad. (No need to worry, it's fine.) I'm thinking, "What is going on??" Ah, well, a day in the life of our family. :)
So, these next pictures are just some cute pictures of Caleb. He has discovered a couple of fun things he likes to do: climb up the footboard of the bed, and crawl into our laundry "baskets". Aren't babies fun?

Summer School Update #3
I know how much everyone likes all the pictures, so I'm really sorry to say there won't be any pictures in this post. The children's teachers have been taking lots of pictures of the kids all throughout school, but I won't get them until school is all said and done. I'll post some of those pictures then. OK, now on to other things...
Well, two weeks down and only three more to go! Yeah! We've had a great two weeks so far, but we'll all be really ready to go when it's done. Here are some things the kids have done so far:
-Pottery shop. They got to pick out their own sculpture, paint it, and have it glazed.
-Aquatics center. They apparently loved this. There was a big slide and all kinds of cool things.
-Cave.
-Airplane rides. They rode in one of those prop planes. I was a little scared about that one, but they came back alive. :)
-Wildlife center.
-Eating party. OK, this was an interesting day for them. Their teachers were trying to teach them about having to eat strange foods in other countries, and that you have to eat it so you don't offend your host. There were squid, frog legs, and crawfish. I know, you're thinking "Crawfish! That's not bad." But...they had to eat the ENTIRE crawfish...head, tail, shell, eyes and all. Well, Nicole wouldn't do it (surprise! surprise!), but both big boys did!!! I was shocked. They received an "honor bead" to put on their necklace.
-Roller skating and bowling.
Here are some things Keith and I have done:
-Meetings
-More meetings
-Even more meetings!
But they've all been very good and informative. We are learning soo much and meeting some wonderful people. Overall, we're having a great time!

Dancing Kids
I remixed another video of the kids dancing. I added some jazz music to it, since my camera doesn't record sound. Hope you enjoy this little Dancing Kids Video!
