Wild And Crazy Guy!

My brother stopped by yesterday on his way back home from my mom's house. And being the wild and crazy guy he is, he put on a show for us with the boys' WW II stuff. What a nut!

Yummy, Yummy Crawfish

My wonderful mother took pictures of our crawfish from last Friday, and she graciously sent some to me, so I thought I would share a "taste" from us crazy cajuns. Enjoy! :)

Easter 2008

We had a nice Easter weekend. It didn't quite go the way we planned because Caleb decided to come down with a horrible cold with fever. But thankfully we've nipped that in the bud (thanks to Vit. C and garlic and cutting out all sugar). So, what we ended up doing was going to my mom's house on Friday and spending the day with my parents and my sister (and kids). It was a nice relaxing day. Caleb and his little cousin, Jordan, got to play a bit.

And the kids had an egg hunt. Here they are waiting...

Here they are hunting...

Here they are breaking confetti eggs on each other's heads...

And here they are ending the day with ice cream pops. Yum!

We had crawfish for dinner, but forgot to take a picture of that. Too bad. They were really good, too. On Saturday, the kids colored eggs. They had lots of fun.

Then on Sunday, we ended up staying home because of sickness. I cooked up a ham, and the kids had egg hunts and played around. So that concludes our Easter 2008.

My Sister's Visit

My (Jaime's) sister and her three kids just came for a visit. They ended up only spending one night with us because my parents couldn't wait any longer for her to go over and stay at their house. But that's o.k. because we'll be seeing her again tomorrow at my parents' house. We'll be there through Easter. Here are a few pictures of everyone having fun in the front yard:

World War II In My Front Yard??

Well, it would seem so. We received a package we ordered a few days ago. We ordered the kids some really cool World War II items. We got the boys each a field phone, some helmets, canteens and dummy grenades. They have been loving it! Nicole got a dress for her American Girl doll, and some pretty white gloves. Those phones are especially cool. You hook them to each other with some wire and they really work! Everyone's been having fun with those. So, here it all is in pictures. (I'm not sure what lightsabers have to do with WW II, but apparently you need a weapon in time of war.):

Today's Update

There really is not too much to report right now. We are just sort of coasting along. We've been traveling (of course) having just got back from Lousiana and will be in San Antonio again this weekend.

The kids are all doing well. No sickness to report, PTL. They are busy with school work and just being kids. Caleb is growing like a weed and being as cute as ever. Toddlers are so much fun. Don't believe what you hear...toddlers are not terrible little people!!

Keith is busy doing his usual work stuff. He's working really hard to raise our budget. And it is slowly coming along.

And I'm busy being wife and mom. I've been trying hard to work us towards a more healthy lifestyle, using more naturals sweeteners, whole grains, and such. I've also been trying to go green with natural cleaners and using less energy. I'm not a crazy environmentalist or anything like that, but it helps us save money and moves us towards being more healthy. Less chemicals must be better, right? Just trying to be healthy all the way around.

Well, guess that's it for today's update. Check back again for another update on something at some other time. :)
